Westlander’s football Coach Sam was ill in an intensive care unit two days back due to heart pain. He was discharged today after a minor op was performed to help him feel better.
Doctors described his condition as stable after the operation at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Coach was rushed to hospital when he encountered unusual pain in his chest during work. The doctor diagnosed him to have a few blocks in his arteries because of cholesterol.
As the team Captain, a relative of Westlanders Coach, I am urging all Westlanderians to help him with his recovery and well-being. Please rebuke him if he smokes in front of the team.
It is a rule from today that Coach should not smoke in front of us or even behind us, not even a kilometer away from us.
Smokers in our team also avoid asking him cigarettes and please do not help him buy cigarettes too. Smokers in the team also please do not smoke in front of him. That might entice him to smoking.
The doctor have told his family and me that his health condition can get bad to worse if he persists smoking and continues eating fatty food.
He has had 2 hours of surgery all through to find out the problem.
He has been a fantastic Coach for us and for the team, the least we can do is to help him stop smoking and of course play well in the upcoming league. (Performing well in the pre-season)
‘How stressful life is as a Westlanders manager’
