Post by Sasi
Dear friends,
Firstly, I would to congratulate the team on its first win of the tournament. However, I would like to mention another very important matter. Please don't classfiy what I am going to say as a mere repetition. I don't know whether anyone noticed in yesterday's meeting when coach suggested to hyrul that the team fund would pay for his medical expenses if the need arises.
It was then only, I realised the true reason why we (or most significantly, I) pay the team fund. I originally thought I was just paying for the sake of it; to just be in the team. However, when coach mentioned that statement, it changed my wrong perception forever.
We got to admit that we are just the usual neighbourhood team with no proper facilities or benefits that a professional team has. We are playing matches in & out every week.
(ToUCHWOOD)Anything could happen to us(ToUCHWOOD). We get "slided", we get "tackled" and vice versa. Some could be harmless, some could put us out the game. The only resource we could depend on and that, that is of our right is our team fund. We know owe in the hundreds'. Imagine if this was paid up, we could have a very safe and secure amount that could/would help any of us in any dire circumstances (something like insurance money or medisave).
For example, Imagine we had that much of money, we could have paid for adly's fracture. So please, whenever you entertain about not paying your team fund, think of us or.. rather think about yourselves. If you had laid down seriously injured, how are you going to pay for medical expenses?.
Remember, Small things make up the Big picture. If you don't take your health seriously and thus don't care about paying your bit of the team fund. Then you can forget about the team paying for your medical issues when the need arises.
Try not to ignore this message and try to understand what i am trying to say. Choices do have consequences.

i have to agree full hertedly of what u have said sasi. Sometimes not only me, certainly some of the other team players who have paid their team fund regularly would have wondered how come i/we pay everytime and the rest don't have the initiative to pay like us?? but now i realise that I'm not only payin up for the refree, field or any other stuffs but i'm most importatnly payin up for the well being of myself and most importantly my teammates. i hope all of us would herafter don give any excuses of not payin the team fund and would fork out as much as they could everyweek.
