Team Departures...

EUFC 2:1 Westlanders United Ryan (Pen)

(Game review:Weak performance in 1st half-Superb performance 2nd half)

Due to several important factors, which they failed to comply with, Westlanders decided collectively to release them from our team. However, if the players choose to come back after realizing their errors they will have to complete the team fund before rejoining. Generalized Factors: Mahathir: Failing to pay up team fund after frequent reminders, last minute information about absenteeism, letting the team down by not turning up for numerous games. Yaser: Letting the team down by not turning up for numerous games. Johann: Last minute information about absenteeism, letting the team down by not turning up for numerous games. Parthiban: Last minute information about absenteeism, letting the team down by not turning up for numerous games. (You have to pass the training jersey back to any of the Westlanders as soon as possible) The players above are free to go anywhere from school commitments to various parties etc. from now onwards. Westlanders will never forget the contribution they made to our team. We wish them the best in their future. Personally, Westlanders felt sorry for Yaser because we could not believe he is in this list. Hope, he will realize his mistake and make some amendments to return to the team. Players advised to be extra aware concerning their attendance and fund: (Hyrul, Rp Kumar, Kumaran, Jagan, Satish)

Special Note From Westlanders Captain and Birthday Boy...

"Our birthdays are feathers in the broad wing of time. And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years" My birthday aspiration for Westlanders United is to stay united all throughout my life. We have been together for almost three years now. We have faced all highs and lows together. The pioneers of team know each other from childhood. These are small things that make our team great.Although, down the years we had players coming and leaving. We now have a definite team. Our relations within the team may differ, however according to me, I feel comfortable towards every single westlander and they have done their part in bringing this team up. Remember that we are the heart of the team and we are the ones who make the differences. There is still improvement to be made in this team, so I make a wish on 30th May 2009 that we must stick together all the way as teammates and as great friends, no matter the challenge we meet down the years. Forever in my heart and till I die, I will never forget Westlanders and its legacy.

Is it over?

Westlanders United 2:2 Temasek Aces
Man Of The Match:Ryan
[2 Ruban (Pen)]
Westlanders drew again clinching 1 point once more after a hard fought game with Aces. However, after the game Coach have declared to leave the team if the attendance continues to be poor. Everybody skips training without even informing or even worse without valid reason. Is this because they do not take Westlanders seriously? Coach rejected various job offers just because it is clashing with our game time. He is still unemployed finding for a suitable job. All he gets is 7 people attending training. It is disrespect for a man who sacrificed so much for our team.Frankly, I would say because of Westlanders only I managed to be selected for my school team soccer. Without it I would not have been an improved player.Westlanders=Coach. If there is no Westlanders, think where each and everyone will be standing in your soccer status. If there's no one like coach will we be here satisfying our soccer needs? We all are devoted to soccer. We all want to be somebody in soccer. For that we should have disipline, respect etc. Please bear in mind that no one is bigger than the team itself. If this was a Home United, Geylang, SAF or Tampines training I am sure everybody will attend on time and ready. But, because it is Westlanders, everybody takes it lightly. Never weigh a team by its popularity! It does not mean only if you play for big clubs you can go far, as long as you commit and give your heart to a team like Westlanders you will end up somewhere positive. It all depends on us. Only Coach can guide us. Without him we are nobody. Think about it? If still the team does not want to turn over a new leaf; then I think it’s justifiable for coach to leave. Even after that, the Westlanders hardliners will be still be behind coach. Everything’s starts small but gradually with genuine work and belief it will be big one day.
The Westlander Pioneers will always be behind coach.
Please note*:Players without proper reason and not informing beforehand will be omitted from team no matter who the player is! (This time it is a very serious issue) Do you want coach to leave the team? Send in your comments. Coach will take a look at this blog before our next game. Whatever you feel to say or bring up please feel free to comment!

Westlanders serious yet or still showing negligence?

(Westlanders preparing for game against Temasek Royals)
Westlanders will be training with the first team after a couple of disappointing weeks. We could have won those games but lost, not because of better opponents but due to internal faults. Therefore, we will be looking forward to sort out our differences and put all our stupid errors to the back. In my last post, I received tremendous amount of feedback/complains etc. which is good. This tells us that we have problems in our team like every other team. However, we will not jump on the bandwagon of a bad team and see our team crumble. Instead, we will do what any great team does! Solve our problems to get back into the league and show them our best. Full squad is expected like games. Our coach has prepared soccer drills, soccer tips and aids the soccer in the planning and organization of their teams training sessions. See ya Saturday morning 9am sharp at boon lay garden primary field. Please don't be late.
