*Meeting time will be 10.45am at Clementi Bus Interchange. We will be taking shuttle service which comes every half an hour only.Therefore,we are taking the 11am bus. Don't be late.

Game Review (Red Wings Fc)

Westlanders United 5:2 Red Wings Fc

Goals:Vijay 3' 60' 67', Sathya 55', Reshi 45'

Assists:Sathya,Vijay, Prakash and Navin

Man of the match:Vijay was unstoppable as an attacking threat down the middle and deserved his goals


Talking point: Arguments were flying in among players in the first half which caused disruptions and frustrations.It was a shame to us and our team.Personally,I do not want to see any more of that nonsense. Let’s be matured about disagreements and solve it the right way.


Goal of the game: Reshi's goal was a perfect build-up of teamwork.At least,15 passes among Westlanders was made before the goal was rammed home.



Today's game was excellent,we could see both contrasting sides of Westlanders. The first half was very bad and we had very little chances except the early goal.The 2nd half really did prove that Westlanders United were the better team.
 
However,the next three games are very important for us to more up the table.If we can collect 9 points in total,we would be in reasonable standing among the teams.Expecting the same amount of hardwork and passion put in by us for the best outcome.
 
It is also observed that players are serious about becoming the top scorer and top assist for the team.I'm glad for that as it brings a healthy competition and will improve the team holistically.Keep up the confidence...
 
It is planned by Coach to have Westlanders Night so that we could honour the players who had done well.Continue to perform well in the field and you might get something...

We need to be outside turf city by 8am.There is no shuttle service,so it would be a long way if we are going to walk in.Coach will  pick us up just outside turf city where you can see two soccer fields.

Game Review (Team Frankel)

Westlanders United 0:3 Team Frankel FC

Man of the match: Jagan.The centre-back played very well and commanded the defence to perfection.

Appreciation of the match: None other than,our Coach Sam.The veteran still had his magical goalkeeper touch and played in as a last min call back,solving our keeper crisis.

Milestone:Just days before,Westlanders United played their first stadium game at Jurong stadium.Now-We played our first night game in Meridian JC.What an atmosphere it was...

Talking point: Are we improving?

Westlanders played very well even though we lost.Full credits to our opponents Team Frankel wishing them all the best in the league.However,we managed to stop their attacks throughout the game and played a very defensive game,relying on counter attacks which was beautifully executed by Westlanders United.This is the spirit guys.

All the players who came the game should know how the game went.Personally,I felt the whole game was like a dream come true.The atmosphere and ambience was perfect.In the future,we hope to gain experience and maturity by playing more games like today giving our best and feeling satisfied.

Game preview (Team Frankel)

Team Frankel Football Club vs Westlanders United

*The regular jurong guys who meet up at jurong east.Do take note that Coach will be doing us a favour by providing transport to and from Pasir ris.Each of us fork out 4 bucks for that.
Meeting time will be 5.30pm-5.40pm at the carpark behind popular bookstore jurong east.Please be on time.

*Team Fund have improved alot and people have been paying up properly.However, some have yet to pay up on time.This is quite annoying as the organisers keep pestering Coach for full payment.Coach cannot complete transaction without some players cooperating.Players do take note and make payments properly.

Game Review (Real Flamengo FC)

Westlanders United 3:3 Real Flamengo FC

Goals: Sathya 6'(P),Praba 69',Sophian 79'(P)

Assists: Sophian

Man of the match: Sara was a rock in the Westlanders defence - the right-back is growing in confidence with every game.

Save of the match: The opponent's keeper made good saves,when Westlanders were firing through all cylinders.

Moment of the match: Controvesy.The referee did not give proper calls and made poor decisions which caused us the game.

Talking point: Can we produce the same performance against top teams too?

Westlanders had a day without luck and energy by our side.However,we should never blame luck or fatigue for our on par performance with Flamengo.We still had our chances all throughout the game.Ravi could finished off the shot in the last few minutes.Reshi could have also capitalised by his shots.
Nevertheless,looking on the brighter side.We still performed well.Keep up the good work.Let's give the same performance in every other game.Hip Hip Hurrey!~

Game Review (Sinthai FC)

Westlanders United 5:2 Sinthai FC

Goals: Sathya 20',Navin 28'69',Vijay 35',Reshi 79' 

Assists: Jagan,Prakash,Sathya,Vijay

Man of the match: Sathya provided many good balls in to the strikers and midfielders to take advantage and also capitalised with the opening goal.

Excellent play: Jagan and Navin provided energetic performance in defence and midfield respectively.Provided deadly ball and covered up the team in times of crisis.

Moment of the match: A small misunderstanding caused the flow of the match but also turned up the heat in the game's overall speed.

Attempt of the match: Reshi's first time shot was blocked by the keeper

Save of the match: Reshi's first time shot was blocked by the keeper.A decent effort outside the penalty box.

Talking point: Westlanders played a totally different game from their usual style which proved effective.

Goal of the game: Navin's longshot killed the game off in a stylish way.


Westlanders had a awesome game and a deserved win.The opponents were good but we managed to sto their attacks.It's time where Westlanders United play every other game the same way.Keep up the good work.Finishing the season positively is very important for us. Every Westlanderian felt the taste of a deserved good win and should be hungry for more.

Man of the match: Jagan.The stand-in skipper did his best and performed an outstanding performance.

Appreciation of the match: Praba bagged his maiden goal for the team which could be the start for the young striker.
